Craft + Main Cabinetry uses the finest grades of North American hardwoods to manufacture doors, drawer fronts, face frames and internal components. The utmost care is taken to grade material according to each customers selection and finish specifications. Door insert panels and drawer front insert panels use random staves. Machined areas will have minimal amounts of natural characteristics typical for the wood species ordered. We offer a selection of four different grades of each wood species to fit your specific design needs and budget.

Natural Maple is a strong, close-grained wood that’s predominantly off-white in colour, although it also contains light hues of yellow-brown and pink. Hard Maple occasionally contains light tan or small dark mineral streaks.

Rustic characteristics are not allowed to be specified by the customer. Products made using the Rustic Hard Maple species will be of structurally sound construction. Natural Cherry is an elegant, multi-coloured hardwood, which may contain small knots, pinholes and pitch pockets. Natural or light stains accent these colour variations making a distinctive statement in a full kitchen. Cherry wood will darken or “mellow” with age. This mellowing is a natural occurrence and the benefit of owning a Cherry kitchen.
