WHO IS CRAFT + MAIN CABINETRY?

Your online source for high-quality custom cabinetry. We are a team of passionate and dedicated cabinetry professionals ready to make your home renovation a reality! Our furniture-grade solid wood cabinets come in a wide variety of styles & finishes – perfect for creating a custom cabinetry solution for any room in your home.

IS IT HARD TO BUY CUSTOM CABINETRY ONLINE?

We don’t think so and our customers agree.  That is because this is what we do everyday! We have a talented design and support team to work with you and guide you all the way through the process. As we sell our cabinets all across Canada, we pride ourselves on our communication with you via email and phone.

HOW DOES YOUR PROCESS WORK?

STEP 1 – PRELIMINARY DESIGN & QUOTATION:
Complete our measuring kit and let us provide you with a preliminary design and quotation.

STEP 2 – DESIGN CHANGES & PAYMENT:

1st Payment
We understand that changes will be required, and this is all part of the process! Once you have received your preliminary design and quotation, a minimum of 1/3 of your quotation is required to continue to finalize your design with your personal designer. You will work together to fine-tune your design until you are satisfied, and your quotation will be updated along the way. We will also order your door and colour samples at this time.

2nd Payment
Next, a payment totaling 2/3 of your quotation is required so that we can provide you with detailed dimensions of the floor plan and elevations for your review. We will continue to fine-tune and finalize your design if necessary. When you are happy with the whole design, we will proceed with our Pre-Production Review and prepare your final documents.

Final Payment
Finally, you will be presented with your Final Documents for your review and approval. Any remaining balance will need to be paid at this time to submit your order to Production.

STEP 3: DELIVERY:
Once your order is close to arriving at our warehouse, we will contact you to make sure you are ready to receive the delivery and we will make the arrangements with the carrier. The Costco approved carrier will then contact you to make a delivery appointment that is suitable for you. You can expect your order to be delivered to the first covered area of your home such as your garage.

DO YOU HAVE A SHOWROOM?

Our showroom is our website! All of our doors, colours, wood species, finishes, glass, and construction options are on our website as well as lots of other helpful information. Still have questions? Our Design Team is here to answer any questions you may have.

Our office is located in Mississauga, ON where we have a small selection of samples on hand. We welcome visitors by appointment.

DO YOU COME TO MY HOUSE TO MEASURE?

No, we do not offer this service.  You are responsible for your measurements, but you will find that it really is not that difficult at all! Throughout the process, you will have many opportunities to recheck your measurements or have your installer confirm measurements before your order is placed for production. We also know that no wall or ceiling is completely straight, so we always design with this in mind.

DO YOU PROVIDE INSTALLATION?

No, we do not, however, our cabinets come fully assembled for ease of installation and you will be provided with a detailed package of information including all measurements and renderings for your installation upon finalizing your order.

DO YOU ONLY MAKE KITCHEN CABINETS?

No, we make all types of interior use cabinetry for any room in your home such as bathrooms, laundry rooms, dining rooms, pantries, closets, and fireplace built-ins. The possibilities are endless!

DO YOU HAVE IN STOCK CABINETS?

No, your order will be custom built for you.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE YOUR CABINETS?

Our cabinets can be purchased exclusively online at Costco.ca

CAN I PURCHASE YOUR CABINETS UNFINISHED?

No. Our cabinets are all finished at the factory on all exposed sides to ensure quality and colour consistency.

WHAT IS FRAMED CONSTRUCTION?

This means that the frame is fixed to the front of a cabinet body which obscures the edges of the body and provides the fixing point for doors and other external hardware. A face frame provides strength to the front of a cabinet and is also considered a visual feature of particular styles of furniture.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT WOOD CABINETS?

The beauty of natural wood is that it varies in colour tones depending on the wood species you have chosen. Each wood species has its own grain patterns and colour tones that you can expect from it. These details can be found on the wood species page.

As wood ages, it is normal for the colouring of the wood and the finish to age with it. This includes subtle changes in the overall look of the finish which may become lighter or darker over time. This is normal and part of the charm of using natural woods. Once installed, please allow your cabinets 2 seasons (example: Spring & Summer) to allow them to acclimate to your home’s environment. During this time you may experience your doors warping ¼” or less however this is normal and they will flatten out back to their original state.

Humidity & temperature changes can cause wood to expand and contract which may result in hairline breaks
at the joints however this is not a flaw in your product but the expected nature of wood. Like with any product, sunlight, smoke, household cleaners, and other environmental conditions may affect the colour and integrity of the finish over time. Refer to the warranty for more details on what is covered as a warranty item.

No. Decorative hardware such as door pulls are available in a variety of shapes, sizes, and types and can be installed in a variety of ways. Your installer will use a jig to drill for the hardware that you have chosen.

HOW QUICKLY ARE YOUR CABINETS DELIVERED?

Delivery of your custom cabinetry is approximately 10-12 weeks from the date your order is submitted for production.

*Please note that our industry is experiencing delays as a result of global supply chain issues and lead times may be longer. We will do our best to fulfill orders in the timeliest possible way but some factors are out of our control. Please allow yourself as much flexibility as possible by planning ahead and allowing for possible delays.

I’M IN A HURRY, CAN MY ORDER BE RUSHED?

Unfortunately not. Quality construction and finishing take time, and we want you to be totally satisfied with your cabinetry.

We recommend that you allow yourself plenty of time to plan and finalize your order.

AFTER YOUR CABINETS ARRIVE

DO I HAVE TO ASSEMBLE YOUR CABINETS?

No. All of our cabinets come fully assembled.

DO YOU PROVIDE TOUCH UP PAINT?

Yes, touch up paint or stain and a fill stick is included in your cabinetry order. Due to the nature of wood for stain colours and the variations of some specialty finishes, touch up will be provided in as close of a match to the overall cabinet colour as possible. Touch up should only be used sparingly in small amounts as needed.

WHAT IF I RECEIVE SOMETHING THAT IS DAMAGED?

Send us photos of the damaged item and we will provide you with a replacement. Please refer to the warranty section for more details.

Use a warm damp soft cloth for regular cleaning and for cleaning normal household spills. Use a lint-free cotton cloth for drying. If more cleaning is required, use a fresh solution of mild dishwashing liquid mixed with warm water. After cleaning, dry the surface immediately with another soft, clean cloth. Our cabinets are built to give you many years of enjoyment and to ensure that they retain their beauty, clean them regularly, and wipe off excess moisture and spills as they occur.

Avoid the following cleaning products:
– Abrasive cleaning products
– Scouring pads or steel wool
– Sponges or dish clothes as they may contain food and oil residue
– Solvent-based or petroleum-based products
– Ammonia, bleach, or silicone-based cleaning, waxing, or polishing products
